Sing, Sing, Sing Poem by Liilia Talts Morrison

Sing, Sing, Sing

Start your morning with a song
hum it gently all day long
let the birds join in the choir
till the church bells call 'retire'

Hear the swallows on the wires
with sweet melodies attired
join them till the tallest spires
ring with joy while soaring higher

Songs can soften hearts of steel
they can lighten how you feel
lyrics often draw a tear
soften heartaches, banish fear

Though you cannot hold a tune
or remember rhymes or runes
do not worry, never fear
God with patient ear will hear.
