Silk Shadows Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

Silk Shadows

Rating: 2.5

Lizards sigh with mystic parrots
Blood as blue as pierced pagans
Painted for the spirit journey
These heads in the ebony world
Green mountain ghosts
Skulls like fields of wounds
Masks of fat witch minds
Knives of lament

Goats of feathers
Caves where the wind lies
Whispers of the eclipsed moon
Sun stars of orange diadems
Fires burn with tattoos of bones
No quenching the talons of graves
She offers chains of red beryl
Jade eyes of the panther thighs

Come to me raining succubus
Knights walk for the Queens whip
Jungles of soft golden snakes
Boughs of dusky epiphany
Scars of the destined blind stairs
Your pleasure is a phallic pheasant
Night brings gates of slaughtered roses
Your bed washes with blood shadows

Travel well through ancient silk shadows
