Silent Scream Poem by careema cooper

Silent Scream

Scream.

Run... fast.

There is no use.
no one sees.
no one hears.
no one cares.

A few miles back silence meant nothing.
now silence is her sound.
hear it?

Hush.

Walk... Slowly.

Traveling bare on uneven ground,
her lonely, torn self wanders recklessly...
traversing still.

Now alone, breathing deeply, trying not to die.

The moon diminishes,
the sun arises from hiding and falls to set...
traversing still.

just breath and try not to die again.

Rain falls and sudden heavy crys..
She drowns in tears, she screams...
she runs...

There is no use.
no one saw.
no one heard.
no one cares...still.

She abides within isolation.
blinded by dark,
deafened by silence.

hear it?
