Silent Reading Poem by Jeff Hobbs

Silent Reading

Rating: 0.5

I have shared my dreams
written on paper such as this
paper which will be dust
just as I shall also be.
I have purchased for those dreams
a coffin, locked and initialed
with my own name
I claim my death
in this friendship
I have sent the flowers of dreams
they also will wither
despite the water and champagne
Will you forgive me?
And forget?
