Sigh Poem by Shaun McGurgan

Sigh

There I was
searching for something salty
a whim
while the world turned
open eyed
eyes open wide
and wider still my search.
It went
side to side
and flourished
once begotten
outside times a drifting
tide.
Once was a notion of sentimental sorrows
craven unbent and
sighed.
