‘Free Your Soul'
the written words that started all!
‘No Fear'
and drinking ‘yellow beer';
drinking the sun from my eyes, saying,
‘You have lion's eyes! '
drinking the sun from my hair,
to possess the diamonds
from a cluster of sunrays in my hair…
‘I love your hair, ' said I,
when I held it from behind,
and pulled it tight…
and you,
clenching your fingers on velocity,
to catch your racing heart,
and your frenzied fantasies:
mad…mad mic…
madness on the radio!
‘Led Zeppelin
Cream
Jimi Hendrix
The Who'
who—who is the who?
me and you!
discography, —and your calligraphy!
chasing cars…chasing songs…
chasing each other's energy!
the shudders in the reverberation
of your voice…
the unheard whispers of your eyes,
transfixed in hypnotic reveries…
yourself abandoned
to the vulnerability of love…
innumerable imaginary kisses…
clenching your teeth in the apple:
‘do you like them? '
‘I love them…so very much! '
clenching our teeth in the apple:
‘the apple of my eye';
to devour each other
with an immobilised passion: —
a passion of a savage tenderness!

As it turns out, The Who is one of my favorite bands. You have a different voice from most other 'Romance' poets. I enjoy the love poetry of Akhtar Jawad for the same reason. Thank you.
