Shuddering Shadows Poem by Satish Verma

Shuddering Shadows

O my love nobody
but you will sleep in my dreams,
till I come back from the river.

The candle will burn
to lighten the stairs all night.
I was coming empty hands.

My songs have gone
to jungle to collect black berries.
for my keeping goddess.
