Shock In The Heart Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Shock In The Heart

A shock in the heart
The blood turned slow
Froze not
But pained.

For a thought
Passed across the brain
That he would versify
Again
There was yellow-toothed fear
All round the Poet Seer.

No longer erect
He fell sitting.
For
Around him there was
The yellow-toothed fear
