Sheer Shots Of Fear Poem by Raven Black and Blue

Sheer Shots Of Fear

Smoke coming out from this cup of tea
I begin to think about this life I have.
Memories in my head want to break free,
Like cold blooded sharks under the sea.

I remember your face, your kind sweet eyes.
They keep on throwing gentle confusing stares.
Sending me mixed signals that conceal all lies;
Consoling me in my awful misery and cries.

Those embraces you gave me last night,
Are different from what you used to give.
It felt so good but I know it’s not right,
Cause you once made me fall and believe.

Now you’re back once again, so confusing;
I am trying to decipher your true intention.
Wanting to resist all your strokes and caressing,
But my heart’s still weak, all in commotion.

Oh please silent stranger, please do hear this,
You see, I’m in this wilderness of pain.
Trying to recover from all my remiss;
All I wanted is for my soul to regain.

Tears are now falling into this empty cup;
All I hear are drops and whispers from the rain.
I wonder when this miserable madness will stop,
Cause all I see is darkness in my window pane.
