She Standsat A Cliff Poem by Kikiyo Hugarashi

She Standsat A Cliff

She standsat a cliff,

Ready to leap.

Into the nothing,

That lies down beneath.

Questions unheard of,

Unspoken in her mind.

Frustrated my answers,

That she couldn't find.

She closes her eyes,

'This cannot be real,

I'm feeling things,

I'm not supposed to feel.'

She opens her eyes,

And looks down below.

Just inches away,

From really letting go.

There's always factor,

The chance of what if.

What were to happen,

If she jumped off the cliff?

Nothing surrounds her,

She falls to her knees.

The only thing she wants to feel,

Is the cool, calming breeze.

She screams to the world,

For no one to hear.

Thinking about facing,

Her biggest fear.

She stands at the edge,
Of the nothing, contemplating,
The risk of jumping.

Just one little jump,

And the insanity would end.

Just one leap downward,

Just one moment to descend.

Nothing to catch her,

Nowhere to fall.

No one to hear,

Her pitiful call.

Just one tiny jump,

And the pain would subside.

But whether she jumps,

Is for you to decide.
