She Said No Poem by Pen Anthony

She Said No

No
I will no longer be lied to
I will no longer be made a fool of
I will no longer be a mother to a big baby
I will not marry you.

Family and friends
Onlookers too were shocked
He had gone down on one knee
She had acted the part
Hands to her mouth feigning surprise

She knew she had him
Her revenge served chilled
Here he was on his knees
Begging for forgiveness
She took her purse and left
Never looked back.
