She, Paris Poem by Gudmundur Heimir

She, Paris

Have you ever experienced Paris?
Not seen her, but really felt her?
She speaks to you if yo listen gently

With her feminine charm she lures you in
She is young you know
Some say sixteen, others seventeen - of that I'm not sure

When i hear her childish laughter I melt
Acting older than she is
And that temper - boy she can be mean

Looking for something casual
Longtime commitment is not her thing
Quickly on to the next new fling

Don't take it personally, that's just her
She brakes your heart, just wait and see
Listen gently, she it is worth it

Off you go, before it's to late
But you will be back, that I know
Her feminine charm lures you in
