She looks into the mirror
Disgusted by her face
Her body’s an empty case
Skin pulled tight
Against her cheeks
She hates her body
She hasn’t eaten in weeks
She never sleeps
Circles always under her eyes
She hardly speaks
And lets out heavy sighs
She is easily broken
And looks terribly frail
She looks like a skeleton
Her skin’s so pale
When people try to help
She pushes them away
They can only watch
And hope and pray
