She Deserves Better Poem by Jonathan Walker

She Deserves Better

You're my one true love,
I knew than when we met,
I saw you walk through my door and walk past me like a pet,
I saw how you walked and how you made yourself clear,
You're not just a princess,
But a queen with no fear.
I met you in person and made myself weird,
It made you laugh, and that laugh was intriguing,
It was the first of its kind.
I fell in love at first sight.
I looked even closer and your eyes were like blades,
That stuck in my heart and caused a great pain.
Not a pain in such ways it hurt, but in ways that made me want to blurt.
Wow how wonderful your eyes,
Their of their own kind.
Your hair was beautiful like your voice and your eyes.
That color of wonder was beauty to the eyes.
But that day my life changed because of these things.
I started to think of those days when we hung out,
And I asked myself ‘why do I love her? '
And my answer was this,
But this might confuse like the words I am stating,
I love because she knows who I am, just like I know her as she is.
