Shattered Poem by Brian Ely

Shattered

Rating: 4.8

How awkward a position
How you left me here
Shattered and torn
Floating in Heaven
Forlorn

A painful memory
A stain on the sheets
Blood on the carpet
The rising heat

How awkward a position
How you left me here
Pulling vengeance
And oh so queer

Now in the darkness
I'm what you fear

It could have been perfect
But now i lay here,
Shattered
No one near

And if it is to be saved
And still perfect someday
It shall now be
Yet one more year
Until we live the day

And...
All the while a chance to fail
Filled with such a fear

I lay here,
Shattered

It all mattered
Now i'm shattered

Is there another world?
If there is be careful
Or you will be shattered too.
