Shadow Of Woman Poem by Ivana Ivic

Shadow Of Woman

No longer a human
Not even a plant
All I am
just a shell and shadow
Of what once was
A woman

The long road that I took
From 'once upon a time'
to this grey side

Oh, how was I so blind
to let my guard down and
to be played by everyone?

I had stars in my eyes
I had loving heart
I had helping hands
I had everythig it takes

To be the one
Whom you confide
To be the one
Whom you come
for a worm hug

But everyone left
their own way, and all I wanted
was to be
someones lover
someones friend
someones mother
someones best

But, no longer a human
Not even a plant
All I am
just a shell and shadow
of what once was
A woman
