Shades Of Blue Poem by Nicole Warner

Shades Of Blue

Hurting so much,
Pain in every touch.
To see what's a lie and what's true,
Only to see shades of blue.

Love's nowhere to be found,
I'm kicked down to the ground.
Never seeing what is real,
Never safe enough to heal.

I can never make it right,
Even though I try with all my might.
This hurting is true,
My hurt is all shades of blue.

Shades of blue,
Oh hurting that's true.
Why is it this way?
Why every single day?

To hurt like this,
I would not wish.
Stuck to it like glue,
With shades of blue.

I cry tears of blue,
Hurting like this for you.
My depression isn't new,
It comes in all shades of blue.
