Seventh Sense Poem by G J Salgado

Seventh Sense

Shadows dance as if they're alive
As they move across within me
Dancing through me as if I wasn't even there
They breathe through me so that they do not die
It's becomingly beautiful with insanity
Part of me that never knew to beware

I lit a candle today before you came
For the dark of the light that always sees
Tasteless but irresistible desires
Within the night it calls your name
It dwells within my soul so that it can breathe
Consuming me with another sense in its fires

Burning with the illusions that I have missed
Illuminating me in the aura of its only beauty
Beyond stars that live upon the rain
Ceasing the flames that I have kissed
Making an offering of sacrifice unto me
Creating the path that lingers in my brain

It tells me the secrets about me and you
I sense everything that it confesses
Living a life that exists within the seven seas
Chasing the nightmares away until it's through
Raging from upon my bones in all senses
All before you fade into me and I disappear into the August breeze
