Set Us Free Poem by Peter Zulfaqar

Set Us Free

I love to see the birds fly
All the way crossing the cloud
While my heart screaming loud
For always being tortured and lie.

The rights we are fighting for
Are just for them to laugh and ignore
Our single word we voiced
They classified as noise.
The letters we sent
Silenced with no reply.

Now everyone gasping for freedom
Because we stuck here like in prison
No matter whatever you do
There will be eyes watching you

But please bear in mind
Someday the hero will rise
With a full heart of brave and kind
Rise high his flag of freedom
Nothing but only with one reason
To set us free.
