September's Fading Light
Into September we step
The leaves start to change
soon it will grow darker
The light will slowly fade
But rejoice for now is the harvest
The bounty planted this year
Time to finish the harvest
Fill the stores and tables high
Soon the harvest in
Plans made afresh for the year ahead
Come raise your glass
take bread and ale
For September cometh
And the light begins to fade
