Sensuous Day Poem by alex haywood

Sensuous Day

Sensuous day today.
The morning coffee
caressed my tongue
the car glided down I-95
my step light,
body on the balls of my feet
as I stepped in the elevator
flew up to the suite
my eyes not gazing,
but probing, kissing
faces, smiles, hair
the green of trees
are a bit brighter
than they have a right to be
I take tiny sips of the morning
savoring it like a good wine
It's definitely a sensuous day
today
