A Sip Or Two? Poem by alex haywood

A Sip Or Two?

Rating: 4.7

I kissed my wine
the cool liquid on my lips
such a contrast to hers
yet the taste
complicated, full of promise
the same in many ways
I closed my eyes
the possibilities filling my senses
my tongue wants another taste
my greed to blame
yet I've learned by now
no two sips are the same

This one has a bit of philosophy mixed with a drink. Is it not ever so? GW62

A thought provoking poem, very well constructed and a very nice read indeed. Well done. Enjoyed it. Love Ernestine XXX
