Self Poem by Francis Duggan

Self

To your higher self you should always be true
And always give credit to where it is due
And in your words never put others down
Leave this to the judgmental of the town

Live and let live to all does apply
Of a fair go in life anyone don't deny
Treat other people as you would like them to treat you
Good as your best is you only can do

The praises of celebrities the masses may sing
But success as such is a relative thing
Some wealthy people are far from generous and kind
And to think of self onlyare all too inclined

Every day you do sow karma's good seed
Always willing to help one of your help in need
Life's challenges without complaining you meet
And for success with others you never compete

If you do your good deed or two every day
By helping someone without asking for pay
You are one of those who plant karma's good seed
And yourlife it is a great success indeed.
