See Me Bright Poem by Susan Lacovara

See Me Bright

Rating: 5.0

See me bright
Sun
Moon
Stars
Fire
That you will seek
The warmth of my wool
The heat of my hand
The glow of my smile

And not let passing rain
Wear you down, dismal

See me bright
New
Near
Horizon
Happy
That you walk close
Want no other place to rest
Wish the nights could be longer
And the days apart fewer

And not regret what's left behind
The edges that cut you deep

See me bright
Honest
True
Loyal
Laughing
As if a child again
Chasing moonlight and rainbow's end
Dizzy from the intoxication
Of drinking deep, thirst no more

And stay awake, within our dream
So you can see with new eyes

Aoha Susan... Thank you for this at ease moment... This work does take the edge off of an agitating life of moments on and off... would it be that our consciousness were always on and aware of our surroundings and our experiences... So you can see with new eyes... and you know that you do have access of your new ones! Twinkle, twinkle... the memories of just one of those moments in which all of you smilied all at once... Dizzy from the intoxication? For this vanishing moment I am... All of the best from this life, to you, and all of your relations... Michaelw1two
