Second Sight Poem by Chris Harris

Second Sight

Here in a strange room
All of the sides of a world
Unbribed as though to perish
Dancing with tomorrow
Held in time

From the grave to the cradle
Uniformed as the sun fell

Alone though uncertain
In worlds of times our own
Falling endless within
As journeys unopened
Torn with bridges laden
Like truth misguided

From the grave to the cradle
Uninformed as the sun fell

Driven or foresaken
As purpose unburdened
Less captive the keeper
In foregrounds the curtain
Hung slender with distance
Laid final unrisen
