Scotland's Fair Maid Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Scotland's Fair Maid

Fiction:

Saints and monks, barons and earls
peers and the elite of the realm
stand on parade to greet the fair maid
because she is up at the helm...
modest of mind; the down to earth kind
the union flag told of her birth.
Without contradiction, she is Scottish fiction
known as the 'Valentine' Fair Maid of Perth.
