Scenic Marbles Poem by Filomeno L. Pacis

Scenic Marbles

As you go strolling along Manila Bay,
Where once Admiral Dewey sunk in
Defeat the Spanish Fleet;
And glance over the horizon,
How wonderful to behold the beauty of our sunset,
That flaming ball of gold,
So gloriously painted on the massive canvas of Heaven!
What a thrilling adventure, to join a sightseeing tour
To Ifugao, in the Philippines, to see the scenic grandeur,
Of our famous centuries old Banaue Rice Terraces,
Looking like enormous and towering stairways
Almost reaching the doorway to the sky!
