Scars From The Past Shouldn'T Hold You Back Poem by Kellyn, A Grau

Scars From The Past Shouldn'T Hold You Back

Tears have blinded my sight for to long
My hearts been broken and sings a new song
My body is shaking from the cold you bring me
Deviated by your cold heart, cant you see my pain
Thrown to the side again, will you come and use me
Abuse my love and drain it all out
Then cast me to the scavengers to feed upon
Don't look at me with your disgusted eyes
I am the fool to play this part
To think you could warm your heart to me
How could I have been so naive about that?
Walk away and give me that cold shoulder
Do you see the pain that lingers in my eyes
The soul that thrives for you to fill it up with lies
Can you hear my desperation as I reach my arms to you
Will you show me confrontation or will you ignore the signs
This broken line could be easily fixed if you took the time to mend it
But you cast me to the side and ignore my aggravation
Shows me nothing but a cold heart hiding his true form
I can see the light with in your eyes as you hold my hand
The way your heart jumps a beat when you kiss me
But yet you throw me to the darkness to never hold me again
Do I mean that little to you? Do you even care?
Fear should not hold you back, cause you cant be scared to be burned
Because if you hold your emotions in
You'll never discover what could have been
So pull your self away from me because you can feel my warmth
Lock away your energy before you make me turn away
My heart was opened up to you but you refuse to take it
So think about it before you regret the things that could have been
I'll turn away and walk into the door placed before me
So before its to late grab me and pull me to you
And whisper I'm sorry into my ear so I can embrace you
Other wise you'll never know the possibilities my heart had
And the love that could have been loyal and true to only you
