Powerful within yet so powerless on the outside
Cut, hurt, bruised and scarred
Her soul wails
Her spirit cries out
He scarred her body but not her soul

Strong within yet so weak on the outside
She cries out for help but no one hears her loud yet so quiet cry
She reaches deep within where she draws her strength
But alone she can't do it

What about her little ones?
Who'll take care of her loved ones?
Lying there in pain doesn't really help or does it?
She sees her life flashing before her blurry eyes
Mercy and grace are with her
She rises
She rises
Full of hope
But scarred she stands
