Scared Of The Dark Poem by Lilith White

Scared Of The Dark

In the dark, a demon lurks
His eyes glint an then he smirks
He edges closer to your bed
You pull the covers over your head
Time passes by without a sound
You raise your head and look around
But he is there, watching you
And he watches till the night is through
And you watch back quiet and still
To make sure he dosn't move to kill
But suddenly a shaft of light
Gives the demond such a fright
That he runs away
And he hides all day
Untill the next night
