Say Something

IF God would use a testing sieve
Auditioning for life
Do you believe you yet would live?
To reign as Jesus’ wife

If silver, rest for you could buy
Or gold reserve life’s share
Must God sit back and watch you die?
Without a single prayer

If God a contest should convene
Regardless the event
Would you become for Christ a queen?
Or must you first repent?

If wisdom, could secure your place
Knowledge, a pass divine
Would you survive and see God’s face?
Or drown yourself in wine?

If church, could give security
Could give to you, her vow
Would you receive a guarantee?
Or would your head still bow?

If saying “No” and still would die
From self, you must abstain
On God alone to then rely
Through Jesus’ birth again

Nothing upon this world of ours
Today or evermore
No million demonic powers
Can open Heaven’s door

When knowing this my friend today
Knowing what’s up above
Is there words, or anyway?
For God to show more love
