Satisfaction Poem by Susan Lacovara

Satisfaction

Rating: 5.0

The ever satisfactory coffee with cream
Marlboro Sunday morning smoke
Circling my tosselled, from last night, hair
Still somewhat sleepy
In a half dream
Settling into this poured out morning
Much like the cream
Velvety smooth in my cup...
I snake my way through thoughts
Leftovers, last night's banquet
Finding myself fully fed
With really no need for caffeine
As this morning's pick-me-up
