Satan Poem by George Capron

Satan

Satan he fell from a great height
He hit the ground and saw the light
The dark angel had angered our great God
Whom he said, he totally abhorred
On his flight down to ground
Satan knew he was hell bound
The prince of darkness, what a clod
Foolish to think he could defy God
Bound for a thousand years of misery
A full thousand years not to be free
Dark angels abound to do his bidding
We must not be fools to think he's kidding
Thrown from the best of heaven's delights
Into a black hole of eternal mights
He created the grave, which binds us to hell
We were immune before he fell
Hurtling down, through the universe
Unabated, unsated his power thirst
Until God release us from Satan's sin
The threat of hell does not wear thin
Hell's threat does not wear thin
Into the Breech the second Adam came
Sent by God to cleanse man's shame
He came and died upon a cross
On Golgotha's Hill, the whole world's loss
From then to now man is accursed
On Jesus Lord we did our worst
On the third day he uprist again
From the grave he came in God's name
Man nor death will never be the same
