Sanity Poem by Katrina Olson

Sanity

A shot of whiskey to ease my pain
Trying so hard to run away
All these things driving me insane
Never knowing what to say
The pain still here
memories gone
Left alone to drown in fear
in the distance I hear our song
The whiskey bottle is empty
Just like my heart
Your sweet words tempt me
To tear my world apart
Life goes on
Pain goes away
Tomorrow we'll see the sun
And let the cards fall where they may
Im still me
Just less lost
In the world you see
life has a cost
And Mine was my sanity.
