Sand Grains Poem by Perveiz Ali

Sand Grains

Handful of dry sand so cool with such tiny grain
Shining and sparkling as through my fingers drain.

The soft breeze blows it up steep slopes with ease
Waves crashing hard yet the sand never cease.

The entire beach composed in strong blended unity
Protects us from the sea, and provides fishermen opportunity.

Solidly strong yet fluid they stand their ground.
Offering the Sea a rest when it comes around.

Lessons abound in that sandy yet strong beach,
Would that we students were much easier to teach.
