Could agree that poor auld SAM gets
A rough ride in Belfast Town
And i for one wouldn't disagree with ya
Now Sam's the sort of guy that's been looking
After himself for many a year, but to hear these
Folk in Belfast Town why you'd think he's
Just come around
Tis a queer notion they all have about poor auld SAM
They do declare him a candidate for God
Then there's nowt so queer as folk
Anyway here we have all these folk practicing
How to be friends with this new kid on the block
Forgetting the like of them hung him on a cross
Now Sam's the type who forgives and forgets
Unlike this crowd in auld Belfast town.
Why they just damn us all to hell for agreeing
