Sacrifice Poem by metal soul

I am unaware; unconscious
Until the sudden lurch
Weightlessness consumes me

The wind whistles past
Cold; fierce i cannot feel it
I am unaffected

The world stretches out before me
Beautiful landscapes
A patchwork of colors
Emotions fail to overcome me

Driven towards a goal,
My short pointless existence is meant
To end theirs

The ground rushes upwards
My time is at and end
Just as the lives of a million others
Have also ended
