Sacrifice
Feeling the pain of love and
assailed by anxiety of bereft,
as a scratch on a curing wound
gives a bitter sweet pleasure,
we might face the tragedy of
parting from a sweetheart,
who affords us uncomfortable delight!
we could sacrifice our love
loosing free from the invisible
tight bond of the beloved
of course
to relish liberty and to be glad
with some one else!
