Sacred Night Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

Sacred Night

Seagulls in the moonlight soar
Walk with me along the shore
Lovely moments connect time
We are children of a true dream
Feel the sweet tender night
Hear the song of the singing sea
The waves of eternity gently flow
Caressed in the moonlight glow

Venus rises in the clear sky
Like a great diamond she shines
Love is alive in the salty air
Kelp washes up along the rocks
Breezes blow your lovely hair
Foghorns blow in distant docks
Ships in harbors from many lands
Driftwood sits on golden sands

Shells by the moonlit sea
Tonight the tide sings free
Our brokenness is healed
Joy sings a song of renewal
I know we are forever sealed
Love turns everything into jewels
That which was lost is found
Stars peer on hallowed ground

Sublime muse of heaven above
Crocus blush of sweet ivory love
Shine on the wild sea with truth
We are the children of the garden
Tell us when time was youth
Before our hearts were hardened
When no shadow darkened time
When love blessed the sacred night
