Running Poem by Hillary Unknown

Running

Everyone runs from something one time or more…so I put it into words

Legs eat up the distance
As you run from the memories
And the tears
You try to forget the bad times
But it’s futile
You only remember the hurt
And the pain
Will you ever get rid of them
Or will they be forever with you?
You wish you could throw them away
Like you do trash
But you have no such luck
The memories cling to your mind like glue
You pull and tug at them to no avail
So you still run
Seemingly to never be able stop
