GRACE... needs no book of time;
needs no ombudsman
person, place, or thing
of eternal duration,
needs no God artifacts
made by inscriptions
carved from tectonic plates.
Grace dignifies
how hearts beat on,
to answer need,
phrasal verb of Grace
of matter behaved;
the forgiveness,
discerning spirit
in the metaphor;
in explicit need
Grace for transfigured peace
before and after funerals.
