Say Please Take Grace:

Take grace clear of trees
Roll unmarked fields and lanes
Widened to curves and straight-ways
Unlit but ahead of tails the sky tracks
Emblazoned reversible transformations
The past no longer measures by days
And no longer keeps a consciousness
That will last before or after time and
Ravens grow impatient at the turns
From apogees swayed from to narrow
Viewpoint too kind a groove to fine a
Dust from friction - the wages of
Chance rise quickly and fall too
Slowly - so turn to words to spell the
Names of roads that I should travel
The greetings that I receive - I pass
Along the shorter cuts and leave
Beside the roads lay all the lives that
I grieve in the unmarked fields and
Graves beneath the planted trees.
