Ruby red covers her thighs
pure fear shines in her eyes
diamond tears fall then drop
for the heart that has stopped
for time that has stopped
my world spins around him
around the child I have lost within
the safety and comfort of my own (body)
a child that will never live in the 4 walls of my home
who’s to say we weren’t ready
only 17 and 15 ...but we were ready
now soft tears cover my pillow
and his blank stare is sad like a weeping willow
