Rose Thou Art Eternal Life Poem by Terence George Craddock

Rose Thou Art Eternal Life

rose spent withered
all used up dried out
dehydrated husk crumbled
at first tentative touch to dust...

dust fragmented wind carried
face rose red once fresh bright
life sweet scent was wind carried
in wind's arms reaches now dust rest...

rose thou art eternal life
given seal in sorrow strife
gift given from man to wife...

in radiant colours soft velvet petals
in love thy beauty shines softly settles
in hopes dreams thy scent sweet couples...
