Rose Of The Dark Poem by jack green

Rose Of The Dark

Rating: 5.0

Oh sleeping beauty, time has no end.
Your once sweet essence did loft to the sky.
Then came the storm with that terrible wind.
That sealed your fate, left you to lie.
With roots exposed when ripped from your home.
The impression you formed, frozen in clay.
Blacked out the sun and turned you to stone.
Robbed your sweet fragrance took you away.
Made of you a fossil lifeless and stark.
Oh sleeping beauty my rose of the dark.
