Rose Poem by ANKIT MOHANTY

Rose

Two fingers for a single rose
One to plug petals and other to get gush by thorns.
Two unlike fingers on a single rose
Not to hold but for different purpose
One could feel the blooming red
Other could feel the painful threat.
Buds brood bitter taste
But the flower flourish as sweet zest.

Then why you get a thorn to every rose?
Then why the stem's cry of beauty is in expose?
But still
Two fingers for a single rose
Find the prettiest floweret
as Ravishing Rosette
They touch the soul
Of queen of Quinta.

But will it last for ever?
Can two unlike fingers last on a single rose?
It fades and and melts the colour
The soft red blades drops
By wrinkling the beauty
And transforming
Into wane to wan.
Achromatized as dull and dim.
The rusted rose
Sets the cosmos on fire.
But if every bud aspire to emerge as rose
Then the essence of spring will be entirely lost.
