Rose Poem by Juan Olivarez

Rose

Rating: 5.0

you've gone away, into the infinite,
And tomorrow,
The sun will still rise,
The moon will still shine,
The fair southern wind will still blow.
As you seek eternal peace in the infinite,
Things will go on.
The tides will come in,
And the tides will go out.
The clouds will still stream by,
And the skies will cry.
But to my soul,
now adorned in black,
Time will seem to have stood still.
Life will still go on,
Such is the way of things.
But my garden will be missing,
The most beautiful flower,
That ever graced it.
Goodbye my dear sweet Rose,
my fondest wish for you,
Are streets paved with gold,
And the singing for all time,
Of a heavenly choir
