Rocky Mountain Air Poem by Serena Heart

Rocky Mountain Air

Rating: 5.0

Rocky Mountain air
Blue bells fair
Green needles sway in high blue skies
Red bark perfume pinus douglasiis
Springtime showers lightning strikes
Thunder rolling crashing lights
Steller jays flash blue wings
black tips and dashing things
dragonflies and swarming bees
buzzing gods on golden strings
hiding quiet in dense grown trees
The deer are speaking ancient soft
their wisdom floating on a gentle waft
Pink horizon at the dawn cold dew
Purple blue at dusk for me and you
And when the winter cold doth bite
wild flurries frozen sparkling white
quiet hills and quiet light
quiet trees and quiet sights
when the morning light comes down
golden warmth its bright white gown
and when the darkness closes
engulfing all the world
all the questions that it poses
to my mind unfurled.
