Ridicules Poem by Daniel Thomason

Ridicules

Split the tree in two,
One for you,
One for me,
Don't let the stem peal,
I want that, too,
Where's the lighter?
Over by the bottles?
Retrieve it,
We don't have much time,
Roll the tree up,
You hear me?
Roll it up,
You got the lighter?
Light it quick,
Brilliant,
Put the lighter by the bottles,
Now observe,
Look at that tree burn,
Slowly,
So ashen,
So true,
Were back.
