Rich Pickings Poem by kevin greene

Rich Pickings

rich pickings

i am just a slave

a slave to this empire

an empire built on hope, dreams, lies, deciet

a plastic empire made in china sent to the promised land

not standing on the shoulders of giants merely grounded looking up at this veil of ignorance

freedom is'nt free lets all go on a credit spree

now it looks like a baron paradise

righteous souls the book told me so

christ pardon judge supreme

all i see are skull and bones

vultures fair?

Very intriguing. Some great lines which sing- 'a plastic empire...' 'freedom isn't free...' 'christ pardon...' The last line I'm not sure about. Thanks for sharing.
